Bash is not the default shell with the BSDs.
Slackware does not install a default /etc/skel. That is an exercise for
the user. That is a big reason I continue using Slackware -- Patrick
does not presume how anybody should use their computers. He provides a
base operating system and let's everybody decide what they want to do.
And for people
who do not use bash? ;)
Besides maybe Arch, Gentoo, LFS and/or Slackware, what doesn't have
/etc/skel/.bashrc?
