Error 1:

Use Control Center / Desktop / Behaviour.
The same settings by this way work correctly.

Error 2:
2. [click on "My Computer"] >> [click on any partition] and the error
popup
reads:
"Permissions denied<p>please insure that<br>..." etc.
As you can see, the HTML code is visible in the popup message.
Are you member in group plugdev?
Will both of these errors be fixed?
I think, it is better to solve these problems, instead of use very old
distribution as is Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy).
