the fact it is working in Mate means it will work in Trinity.
I've had to fool around with Broadcom chipsets to get wifi working on
a Thinkpad I have. a bit of a hassle and then it's done.

So for now I'm running Linux Mint (Debian
Mate)
with some Trinity apps and will have a go at this some time later.
BTW, "Mate" refers to the Yerba Maté drink, not the British "matey".
