It could be that the presence of two messes something somewhere. I hope
they fix it somewhen soon. Unfort. no idea where one could raise a bug for
this.
My guess is that it would be the bug tracker for http://www.alsa-project.org/ ,
or their mailing list. I don't know how responsive they might be, though.
