Looks like you found the first bug in the Debian lenny repository!
Can you run this:
sudo update-rc.d kdm-trinity defaults
at the command line and reboot?
Let me know if this fixes the problem; if not, then I have something else
for you to try.
Also, do you have the original KDE3.5.10 (non-Trinity) kdm package installed?

Booting goes to command line, "kdm-trinity is not
starting" and I see no
errors, I can start it from command line, how can I fix this so it will
auto-start?
I use nvidia driver and I have no problem with X.
