I figured it out, it was this: http://mirror.git.trinitydesktop.org/cgit/tdebase/commit/?id=28771943f7c5cb… tdeprint: autostart of KJobViewer is now controlled by a .desktop file. With the introduction of the autostart desktop file, it was invoking KJobViewer which wasn't happy without tdeprint_cups. I simply removed /opt/trinity/share/autostart/kjobviewer-autostart.desktop and it will bother me no more. I guess I should have looked at the git change history, but I was hoping someone knew offhand what might have done it. Thanks
