Testing further I discovered that I could again mount from konqueror-user, and
that in turn made konqueror-root able to umount one of the shares (but not
the other). At that point both links on the desktop showed "not mounted"
while the shaers where mounted...
I can mention also that the links on the desktop change icon depending on
mounted/umounted. Well, they seem to get confused when I use konqueror,
showing "mounted" only when the pointer is over them, or showing mounted when
umounted.

taken from /etc/fstab and the "shortcut" is a special
TDE link (right click on the desktop - create new -> link to
device -> nfs)
Do the links show up in Konqueror > Go > Storage Media (Location:
media:/) with right click (un)mount options?
