In my last email I asked:
" How do you delete those local folders to set up KMAIL as MAIL DIR?"
It looks like the local folders that are there now, use .mbx format,
because I see a COMPACT option, when you right click on the folders.
The format is set in Settings/Configure kmail/Misc
In my case, it's maildir, and I do have the compact option in the menu.
I am also needing to know how do I set up a MAILDIR
directory to copy over
from Evolution to KMAIL?
Not sure, but I think if you copy your maildir messages in the mail directory
(~/.trinity/share/apps/kmail/mail) kmail should (re)create it's index files.
If your messages are allready in directories, I would create the
corresponding directories in kmail and copy the files in those.
When I setup a new machine I usually copy the mail directory from my main
machine (plus the kmail files from .trinity/share/config).
Maybe the import option can be used, but I can't test.
Thanks,
Chris
