Yes, that's my thinking, too! ;-)
I think, the root account does not read the user's configuration. The
one/two click behaviour is not the default, IIRC, so you probably have
configured that in your user's config. The root account has its own
config in /root/.trinity. That's where you can set it. Or via GUI, if
you use TDE's configuration tools as ROOT.
