OK, I didn't mean to offend. :-)
KDE4 causes all kinds of problems with TDE. There may not be a solution
to your problem.

When I do that, Firefox opens at google. I guess the next question is I
get KDEPIM 3.5.10 to do that when I click on a link.
KControl->KDE Components->Default Applications->Web Brower->In the
following browser->firefox
