key binding 'ctl+a' used to select all messages in a folder
Thank you for that most useful piece of information!! By the way, I am using KMail 1.9.10 on TDE 3.5.13.2. And 'ctl+a' works.
Lisi
Hmmm. not here, sometimes this means the keybinding is in use elsewhere.
the 'alt+ctl+s' keybinding used to rename the tabs in Konsole, it got switched somewhat recently to another function, why switch default keybindings in use :-( I now know about this phenomenom so it is the firast place I look now, finally..
Change the shortcut Ctrl+Alt+S, I know - this is due to commit bbae7554. However, I know of nothing that should affect Ctrl+A. As with Lisi - for me also Ctrl+A works as expected.

I was unaware of the Ctrl+Alt+S conflict when I introduced the global shortcut to activate the screensaver. If desired, I can change the screensaver activation sequence to something else, but I would need help finding an intuitive and non-conflicting shortcut to change it to!

But that 'S' is very intuitive for Screen Saver.
Although I had long been accustomed to this keyboard shortcut in the console, I would suggest, rather change the keyboard shortcut to rename session in the Konsole - for example Ctrl+Alt+R.
