Hi
I just got an Acer notebook 5334-2598, it has a boardcom wireless
device, in
mandriva the module is "wl", I was unable to find any native driver. I
tried
the usual routes of firmware cutter etc, and while the wl module loaded
with
modprobe, and the device was seen as eth1, it still didn't connect.
Is there a how to, so I can compare notes?
Thanks in advance to all...

Not sure what the relevance is to Trinity project, but I use the
broadcom wl module, and it works fine for me. I run v5.60.48.36 under
Arch Linux (see:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=19514). If
you have additional questions, feel free to email me offlist about it.

You are correct; this list should be reserved for issues directly related
to the Trinity project. For people having issues with the Ubuntu
distribution of Trinity, an older mailing list is available here;
http://apt.pearsoncomputing.net/mailinglist.html
That list is specifically for general discussion about the Ubuntu Trinity
releases and underlying userspace issues, such as Trinity integration with
Ubuntu specific components and packages.
Also, if you are having problems with a kernel component or driver, such
as the one Kate mentioned earlier, I would suggest the general Ubuntu
forums at
http://ubuntuforums.org/ ; they will generally respond much
faster to this sort of problem than the members on any of the Trinity
lists.
Thank you,
