The name Trinity is also : -The name of a first nuclear test in USA (1945), - A first name for women, - Trinity Cartier (jewels collection), - A fantastic Desktop for Linux, - And many others...

You ask a question and then you say you think ... but you could think of 1000 more reasons with same probability of being true. I would guess that it was three people that forked the project :) Let's see who wins - the bets are on
