I think that Konqueror is not a navigator
It used to be a superb one. For years it was my browser of choice.
It could
be again, but it is not as high a priority as keeping other things going,
because there are other good browsers. There is no other e.g. Amarok!!!
(Well, nothing that rivals Amarok-Trinity.) And the developers can't do

I never asked the developers to change Konqueror,
just write that it is good for files manager and not as navigator.
