battery and power troubles

Hi there, Just installed Debian 7.1 Wheezy and Trinity 3.5.13.2 on a Lenovo W500 The tray icon that usually shows my power status is there, but gives only a tooltip, "No information about battery and AC status available" Looking at kcontrol > KDE Components > Service Manager, I see that in Load-on-Demand Services, Laptop Battery Monitor is not running. I am able to see the power status and battery readings in /sys/class/power_supply, for both AC and BAT0 How can I get that service loaded? Thanks! ~David
