I'm running minimal packages up to tdebase-14.0.7.
What other packages
are needed to open mp3 files and read meta data.
The base packages are running on a Manjaro system, don't want fancy,
just hate thunar

install anything related to
mp3, also mediainfo.
Do a search of your package manager and search for...
mp3 (there's lots)
audio
media info
meta info
trinity-multimedia
easytag is another
and the like.
