I can just make sure that tderandrtray doesn't start up automatically with boot. If I recall, I was fiddling with screen size and power settings (sleep, hibernate, etc.), so I had set it to start with boot until I got those settings how I wanted, then forgot to unset it afterwards. Thanks to all for their help and suggestions. I hope that my zombie hunting days are done, and I can move on to hunting more interesting quarry. Bill
