Hi Uwe,
Ubuntu has dropped i386 support for a (couple?) number of years now, so we are unable to
build TDE for i386 on trinity.
Your computer has a 64 bit processor, so you should be able to switch to 64 bit packages
quite easily.
Alternatively if you really want to use i386 packagesm you can try using Debian, for which
i386 packages are still
available.
