My preferred view as well. Here's my notes on the topic
TCC > TDE Components > File Associations > Type: inode > directory
embedding Select and move the desired default
view to the top of
the Services Preference Order. ...Things like USB sticks, CD-ROMs,
SMB, NFS, etc. aren't affected unless you also change the default
views for all/select media in media (2nd down from inode).
Thank you, Dave, for this tip. I could find no reference to it in
either the kde handbook or by a Google search. I had found the
‘media’ selection and had changed the order for the other things, but
it had not occurred to me to look in the ‘inode’ selection.
Thanks form me too. Wonderful! I had never dug as far as embedded!! I don't
think I knew what it meant in this context. :-/
