The kmailrc (located in .trinity/share/config/) Has a Geometry
section. Maybe you could delete those lines. As you suggested though
it may be difficult to instruct your parents how to do this. Do you
have a way to vnc inh? that is what I recommend do. If you have ssh
and VNC setup (if not now; but in the future) resolving problems is a
bit less of a hassle ;)
There may also be websites that offer similar functionality.
