I finally figured that out & intalled kdm-trinity. I rebooted and got
to the pretty splash screen that says to "Ctrl-Alt-Del to login".. and
CTRL-ALT-DEL did nothing. I couldn't login. so I did another
dpkg-reconfigure kdm-trinity and put lightdm back.
not sure how to fix that problem, anyone?
You can turn off "Ctrl-Alt-Del to login" - in /etc/trinity/kdm/kdmrc
enable: UseSAK=false
