Yeah, that's a good idea. I played round with them a little, but I really
ought to keep a closer eye on my traffic.
There's always something more to do.

That exact command works fine for me so I think you still have an Internet
problem of some kind.
If you know how to monitor the download with wireshark or tshark that's
what I would try next. You might have something weird like an MTU problem.
