Just out of curiosity - why are you using Audacity under Wine and not directly install it under Mint/Ubuntu/...?

I've got the idea from this
(WINE 1.6.1 won't run certain programs, and if I use Audacity 2.0.5 to edit an mp3 the new file sounds 'tinny' for some reason. I didn't have any problems with the older versions of WINE or Audacity)
Obviously, I was wrong.
