Thanks, everybody. Good to know. Mint KDE is my main distro, & I use TDE
on my really old computers.
I've had better luck with things Just Working when I install a distro with
TDE already included. When I add TDE later, I've had a lot of problems.
However, I like Mint so much, I'm going to try installing Mint XFCE, then
adding TDE. Wish me luck!

Exe is all free (as in beer). Install Jessie, then TDE.
