Hi, I already tried to follow this instructions, had
several problems which
I hope resolved in the right manner and at the end had a system booting
Ubuntu and starting Trinity, but I didn't get a running and working Trinity
desktop - it always took about 30 seconds just showing the desktop
background and then switched back to gnome desktop. I didn't get this
kombination running in a way to show the Trinity desktop like I've seen
booting from the stick. Can you do something with this error description?
Not knowing what the problems were nor how you solved them it's difficult to
analyse. What's more I never run *buntu, but the fact that you say it
switches back to Gnome lets me ask what dm you're running.
Being a live CD, did you do any update after install?
I've seen such things after an update that caused GDM3 or Lightdm to be set
back as DM. You could try
dpkg-reconfigure gdm3
or
dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
then
dpkg-reconfigure tdm-trinity
If this works you can also uninstall the other dm alltogether.
