That's interesting.. I don't have a reply in my inbox from William
Morder...
I have in my inbox: The TDE welcome email, Mike Bird and Deloptes's
replies.
Well.. to update you, I have made it to the land of TDE! And I am so
excited.. I LOVED KDE 3 back in the day.
I downloaded all of my files off of nextcloud and I've gotten
Claws-Mail all set up so I could reply to ya'll and let ya'll know that
I made it safely :). I have to say that Claws looks like CRAP in TDE..
It looks like something from the Windows 95 days LOL!
See attachment... I hope that it's okay to attach and send to the group
:)
WOW.. I was overwhelmed with the applications... I figured out a way to
edit the start menu and add apps that I will prob never use to a folder
that I made called "UNUSED" under each sub header.
So to explain how I safely arrived, I had the Debian mini NON-Free iso
( the ISO that comes with all of the drivers) on hand, and I did a
install of LXQT ( YUCK!) first and then, when I got into LXQT, I added
all of TDE's repo's via the terminal by editing sources.list to that
file and installed TDE!
Is there anything else I need to know?
I found the power settings and got all of that squared away.
I swear TDE has as many control panel options as regular KDE does!
WOWZA! It's mind blowing lol.
