Thanks, Mike, that's a big help. I suspect it's something Gnomish that's being
dragged in. I don't really use Gnome, if possible; when I do need something,
I install then uninstall it right away, and watch whatever gets installed
along with those packages.
I don't know how it happened, but I can't catch everything.
We'll see how this goes.
