On this machine Intel P4 dual core, Nvidia 64Mb Gforce card, I end
up with a black screen then a blue one telling me that "No screens
found" and then asking if I want to configure manually. Though I
can't actually change anything. Odd because your previous versions
work just fine.
I've now discovered that all three of my machines behave in exactly
the same way. One Intel and two AMD processors. The AMD CPU are a
64 bit dual core and the other is a 64 Bit quad core, both running
Radion video cards, though the latter is built in to the CPU.
Easiest thing to do is to blow away /etc/X11/xorg,conf
and then use
XFdrake to set up the nvidia card with noveu driver. note the
uppercase in XF :)
Isn't the Noveu driver the default one ? on Alexandre's PCLinuxOS.
I recall that I had this problem with another distribution. In the
end I just nuked it and went back to Alexandre's previous release !
