Good Morning to Everyone.I've just downloaded
and installed a pre-built
Maverick (Ubuntu 10.10) with Trinityon an old TOSHIBA Satellite U-200. I
would be verry happy to drop KDE4.x, which I don'tlike at all, and keep my
old good (very very good) KDE 3.5. I was having troubles with wireless, but
they are solved and now wireless is OK.Unfortunately, now I'm not managing
to setup a mobile connection through a huaweiusb key. Is there some guide
about how to configure a mobile connection under Trinity ?ThanksDaniele

I think there is a package called "umtsmon" on Ubuntu, that works perfectly
with UMTS modems. You might also use knetworkmanger. Anyway, I use wvdial
for
the job :-)

Great !!! I've downloaded umtsmon from sourceforge, and I did not even have to
compile it, because the tar.gz
contains a binary. I had just to fill in the APN of my network provider,
figure out that umtsmon had to be run
as superuser (-> sudo), and it worked out-of-the-box.
Many many thanks!
