Arch Linux is officially the worst target ever for complex projects with many dependencies. As I age, my interest in dealing with change shrinks to zero. I have now just upgraded from oldstable to stable on debian ;)

I feel your pain, I built TDE for Arch from 2012 to late 2014 and with every upstream change Arch incorporates on a weekly basis something breaks. It turned into a full time job...
