I was using the Klipper app under "Kubuntu
Precise" LiveCD and
noticed that it doesn't allow you to edit the contents like the new
Klipper app under KDE4 does.
Is there some way to upgrade this app so that you can edit the
contents?
Does it not ? It certainly used to. I'm away from home for a week
or two so can't check that detail unfortunately.
Ah the wonder of KVM and downloadable live images :-) Yes, KDE3 klipper
does allow editing of items in the context specific popup and, last time
I was at home to use it, so did Trinity 3.5.12 klipper. Assuming you
are talking of the same feature I am, if you don't have this feature
any more it would seem to be a regression.
To test: highlight a URL like this one:
http://test.invalid
Cause the Web-URL popup to appear (it may be automatic or you may need
to press control-alt-R)
You should see "Edit Contents" as the second to last option
