stricter on the second machine (i.e., 600 permissions rw only for admin/user?
but maybe you need rw-r-r, 655, I think it is?).
Well, I don't get any errors, neither on the console nor in .xsession-errors. Openscad
Appimage works as expected. When I unpack the Appimage and run the openscad version from
the Appimage <enter> does not work. Reason: system libraries are preferred in this
case. So something in the installed system libraries as bogus. Question is: what is wrong
and how do I identify it?

I have a few applications on my machine that sometimes
give me that kind of
problem; always takes a moment to remember that little bit.
Just in case, I am now in the midst of downloading everything scad, just to
give it a test run. Besides, I might need one of these someday.
