No. But this is because there is NO asound.conf file that I can find. I
also looked around in other likely places, but no luck.
Then create one. Mplayer et al. usually use card 0 to play sound, and that
is in your case HDMI. It might be that you can put these lines in
~/,asoundrc, but I'm not sure.
