Manually add NM to the menu with Kmenuedit after testing the command in a shell.
By trial and error and/or Google, there's always away to find out the
right command,
test it in a shell, and then add it to the menu with kmenuedit (make
sure kmenuedit
is installed).
If you mean wicd network manager, the command is:
wicd-gtk --no-tray
If you mean kwifimanager, to test in shell, use:
kwifimanager
And to add in kmenuedit, use:
kwifimanager -caption "%c" %i %m
