You need someone who uses this. They all seem to be absent, though there are
quite a few of them. It's a Saturday. Slávek is usually here at the
weekend, which is OK for us Debian users. :-) But people in general are
sparse on the ground.

been known to get, and you who may be saying "I'm ***-well _going_ to get it
done this way", but I'd try optical media at this point.
I have had problems with USB installation on occasion. Not, as it happens,
with TDE (it was Linux Mint 17 with MATE), but it was a problem with the
actual stick. It installed on some boxen and not on others. Honest! Where
it didn't install, we managed to get hold of a DVD and that worked.
The actual sticks/keys are a variable bunch. I gather it makes a difference
where in the block the chip is cut from - middle or outside.
Grandmother. eggs etc, but I would md5sum or shasum or something check both
the download (you already have) *and* the burnt image, if you burn one.
