I don't understand. It's clear that Exe doesn't have drivers for many sound cards & wifi cards. But, are you saying that regular Debian Jessie with TDE installed later will provide drivers for most sound cards & wifi cards? Thanks

Hello, While trying yet again to get audio working I managed to clobber my TDE 14 setup. Want to reinstall from live CD (on USB stick). Tried the Ubuntu one; the installer didn't let me complete the partition setup. Tried the most recent Ubuntu nightly; can't even get to the GUI or installer program. I don't care much for what I've seen of PCLinuxOS. Maybe I can mess around with Debian/Exe again. But really, isn't there something I can use and recommend to others that just works???? (i.e., with functioning wifi and sound)
My Jessie with TDE14 Just Worked. But you won't get sound and wi-fi with Exe. Exe is all free (as in beer). Install Jessie, then TDE.

This image has non-free firmware, helps with unsupported , by Debian, hardware. Install just the base + standard..put TDE on top. http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/
