Hi,
I have been using TDE (now 5.13.1) with Kubuntu Oneiric for a year or so. I
regularly update with adept_updater. It worked fine until my last update.
But now when prompted by adept_updater for my admin privilege password,
after 3 tries, I get a KdeSudo Error window saying Wrong Password. But I
have not recently changed, removed or added any password. It consists of
alphanumeric characters only. This same problem applies when I try to open
other kde applications that require administrative powers. I urgently need
your help to get my password back.
I do not have this problem when I log into TDE at the beginning of a
session or kmail, or when I open a superuser console from the regular
console.
Here is some info I can give you :
$ ls -l kdesudo
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 55972 2011-10-26 17:24 kdesudo
$ ls -l adept_updater
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1246592 2011-10-14 17:36 adept_updater
$ dpkg -l | grep kdesudo
ii kdesudo 3.4.2.3-2ubuntu3 sudo frontend for KDE
ii kdesudo-trinity 4:3.5.13-0ubuntu9+r1260892+pr3~oneiric sudo
frontend for Trinity
Thanks in advance for responding. I really appreciate TDE and all the work
behind it.
Marco
Hi,
do you have the latest version of kdelibs (ax8) and kdebase (ax16)? What is
kdesudo 3.4.2.3-2ubuntu3? This is a very old version? It says something to
your .xsession-errors?
