Hi Uwe,
Yes I'm afraid it does, at least if you want to continue using Ubunto ! I switched to LinuxOS and used their i386 version, up to upgrading to a HP 8300 64bit i7 machine.

hi
I am a long term trinity user, and had to switch from ubuntu 16.04 to 24.04 I am using a Thinkpad X1 (2017) uname -a returns
uname -a Linux Utnapischtim 6.8.0-38-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Jun 7 15:25:01 UTC 2024 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux following https://wiki.trinitydesktop.org/Debian_Trinity_Repository_Installation_I nstructions I added # Ubuntu sources have moved to /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu.sources deb http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.1.x noble main deps
# Optional sources deb-src http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.1.x noble main deps
then I run sudo apt-get update and received
: Skipping acquire of configured file 'main/binary-i386/Packages' as : repository : 'http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.1.x : noble InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'i386'
N: Skipping acquire of configured file 'deps/binary-i386/Packages' as repository 'http://mirror.ppa.trinitydesktop.org/trinity/deb/trinity-r14.1.x noble InRelease' doesn't support architecture 'i386'
so, does this mean, my X1 is not longer supported, or what do I miss? regards Uwe Brauer
