I have not had any such warning. Using Claws Mail/Thunderbird and Kmail hosted by my ISP Zen.
Interesting. Zen is also my ISP. I send through Zen (i.e. use their SMTP server) and receive through Gmail POP3.
Interesting Lisi, looks as if Gmail is the problem in your case. I use their SMTP/POP3 normally and their webmail if away(rarely these days) from home. All are rock solid.
