The bug request is already there (bug 2818) and we
have initially decided
not to do anything because of:
1) there is already a way to achieve the required functionality if needed,
so a user can customize the separator space to fit his own needs
2) changing this may trigger most of the other users to ask to change this
back.
But if several users express their preference for the additional
separator, we can make the change, shouldn't be that big thing.

Hi,
BTW what are you doing with your signing messages? I was looking some time
ago into knode and wanted to know why it shows signatures for some messages
and attachment of signatures for others (yours for example - was
openpgp/mime).
If you are posting here just to test it - I got you ;-) and I use the
opportunity to hijack for few answers.
I was wondering why knode is not using same as kmail (I think kleopatra).
And BTW somehow knode tells me your signature is bad ATM, so I sign to see
how it displays my signature.
