I don't know nfs or what's required configuration wise, but nfs://<server>[:port][/<directory] should work.
This link is taken from /etc/fstab and the "shortcut" is a special TDE link (right click on the desktop - create new -> link to device -> nfs)
Do the links show up in Konqueror > Go > Storage Media (Location: media:/) with right click (un)mount options?
