This is exactly what adept does.
You click on the adept notifier icon when it becomes red and the adep
installer gui starts.
And by the way I never had to reboot after an update under Linux...
Except after a kernel upgrade.
Sorry.. I forgot the smiley! I was thinking of what automatic means to The
Other OS. <shudder> And I have come across someone who wanted this in
Linux. :-?
