Do you have any relevant apt preferences?
I'm not sure I understand this question. I don't recall having set any preferences with apt. I normally use sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -u when adept notifier alerts me that updates are available.
I might mention that I slowly migrated from tde 3.5.13 to 14.0 using Slavek's repository, but as soon as version 14 became official, I chose to stay with the stable version rather than nightly builds, so I switched to the above mentionned ppa's.

Sure - it confirms what I wrote in the previous email. Now there are two options:
1) "Downgrade" packages libk3b3-trinity and k3b-data-trinity to the official R14.0.0 version.
2) Again switch to alternative preliminary-stable-builds source - apt source already contains a few packages for upcoming R14.0.1 == fixes several known bugs.
