While we aim to provide sources that are compatible with all
distributions, we currently lack the developers required to create binary
packages for OpenSUSE. There was some discussion a long time ago on these
lists regarding the possibility for the existing KDE3 maintainers to
switch to TDE, however they decided that they did not want to do this. If
I remember correctly, this decision was largely due to the fact that TDE
is actively developed and therefore is no longer binary- (and in some
cases source-) compatible with applications from the KDE 3.5.10 era.
