is hpfax part of tde?

My newly installed stretch/tde logs are being heavily spammed by a task called hpfax. And synaptic says its not installed. I'm looking for a showstopper that fails hid-common , requiring a front panel reset button reboot, 3x in the last 30 or so hours.
