Is this fix already pushed out to distro repositories, or do I
have to get it some other way?

Updated packages are already available for Debian and Ubuntu in the
Preliminary Stable Builds (R14.0.6~pre) and Preliminary Testing Builds
(R14.1.0~pre) repositories.
