Works fine for me but you have to edit KDE
KMail's menu entry so that it
uses the full path to distinguish it from TDE KMail.
(And now I get to uninstall 255 packages grumble grumble.)

I don't know how to do all of that, how to point KMAIL to regular KMAIL
installation.
