On this machine, I do play patience now and again, and I expect that will remove it. On that machine I don't care, but synaptic wants to remove tde-trinity too. ????
That's the metapackagfe-dependency-problem. Best way to work around it is to set all metapackages to manual , then check again and work your way down the "apt-mark manual xxx; apt-get purge zzzz" road till it will only remove packagey you can spare.

Its probably moot, as its the 2nd old dell that is going to be replaced with a newer i5 powered dell when I get them. And xfce4 works fine on buster.
Thanks Deloptes.
remove it - it will most likely remove some other package take note - may be you need some of them upgrade and dist upgrade if needed install from removed
I remember there were also similar debian issues back then, but in the past two (stretch/buster) it was smooth (this is to not give up) ____________________________________________________ tde-users mailing list -- users@trinitydesktop.org To unsubscribe send an email to users-leave@trinitydesktop.org Web mail archive available at https://mail.trinitydesktop.org/mailman3/hyperkitty/list/users@tri nity desktop.org
