One of the
reasons I'm not using KDE4/Plasma is that there are no HiColor
icons available there (AFAIK), just the wishy-washy pastel ones that imitate
Windoze. Their contrast is so poor it's hard for me to distinguish one icon
from another in many cases. As you say, today's desktops are designed for
young people, by young people, and the limitations due to aging or other
disabilities are not thought of, while they seem to be concentrating on
eye-candy instead of functionality.
