Since the upgrade to Debian 11 and TDE 14.0.11-pre, if
I try to print
something using either the Vivaldi (using stable or snapshot) or

Firefox and Thunderbird will correctly print in color.
The printer is connected to the PC via Ethernet, this is the only way
Chromium and Vivaldi will see the printer, but in the TDE Control
Center, the printer is listed twice, once with the local IP address
and one without. The entry with the IP address was added using HPLIP.
If I remove both entries and use TDE to connect the printer via USB,
the Vivaldi and Chromium browsers do not see the printer, the only
print option is to Save to PDF. Firefox and Thunderbird still see them
fine. HPLIP will not otherwise install the printer via USB (something
called avahi-browser is missing). However, it appears TDE is
automatically installing the printer regardless of the connection,
without any user intervention.
Is this grayscale issue, a known issue??
Thanks.
More info: The TDE Control Center keeps adding the printer back to the
system once it's been removed via the TCC - after the printer is
physically disconnected from the PC. This shouldn't be happening.
